Torres Jaime I is produced in Penedès, Spain by Migueal Torres. This signature brandy is named after the founder of the cellar in 1928, Jaimi Torres Vendrelli. From the beginning, the decision was made to keep the Solera method of producing the brandy, based on French oak from Limousin, instead of American oak barrels. Today, Torres is an icon among brandy producers in Spain, famous all over the world.
The Torres Jaime I bottle was designed in the form of a corkscrew by the designer Tanake.
30 years is the age of the oldest brandy, which reached 10 years during the Solera method, but for the next 20 years it was carefully stored to this day. Another exception to this brandy is the addition of a small amount of distillate from the 1972 Folle Blanche grapes.
Tasting description: Torres Jaime I sparkles with a dark, lush copper color in the glass. Brandy is complex, forceful and very intense. A bouquet of fragrances fills the space. Aromas of oak, dried dates, raisins and plums. Fragrant liquorice, coconut and almonds all around in a pleasant cloud of breeze. We will also recognize spices: vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, all in a wonderful sweet brown aroma. That's not all: in the background, the air returns with the scent of marzipan, marmalade and chocolate.
In the mouth, oak is first, pleasant warmth ignites the palate. After a while, a bomb of flavors, it is impossible to keep up to list them all, so that nothing will be missed. Dense and rich flavor of raisins, plums, sweet figs. After a moment of cinnamon, hazelnut cream and Christmas fruitcake. Vanilla, patisserie spices, chocolate and rum flavor with a pinch of brown sugar rub in successively. Pleasantly warm, lush and sweet.
