Grand Cru is an unusual proposition of the Glenfiddich Malt Master, combining an unconventional approach to whiskey and celebration. Grand Cru is aged for 23 years in American and European oak barrels. For half a year it is finished in French Cuvee casks - French oak barrels, previously used for wine fermentation, which is the base of the best sparkling wines from the Champagne regions. It is the only single malt that has been subjected to such a unique finish that adds to the extraordinary taste, spirit of luxury and craftsmanship of the Glenfiddich brand. Most champagne houses already use steel vats, but our suppliers consistently stick to traditional casks that give their wines unique vanilla, mineral and creamy notes.
